Laurie Hernandez is an American gymnast and the youngest-ever champion on Dancing with the Stars. She is also an Olympic gold medalist, having won the gold medal in the team event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Hernandez was born in New Jersey and began gymnastics at the age of four. She quickly rose through the ranks, and by the age of 16, she was competing at the senior level.
