Audi Discontinues A4 Sedan, Replaces with Redesigned A5
2025 Audi A5 Debuts with Sporty Design, Powerful Engine
A4 Sedan Phased Out, Making Way for More Dynamic A5 Lineup
In a major shakeup to its midsize sedan lineup, Audi has announced that it will discontinue the A4 sedan for the 2025 model year. The outgoing A4 will be replaced by the redesigned A5, which has been teased and officially revealed in recent weeks. The new A5 boasts a refreshed exterior design, a more powerful turbo-4 engine, and a standard all-wheel-drive system.
The 2025 Audi A5 will be powered by a 268-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. All-wheel drive will be standard on all A5 models, providing enhanced handling and stability in all driving conditions. The sportier S5 variant is expected to debut with a more potent engine and upgraded performance features, with pricing starting from around $59,000.
Audi has released teaser images of the new A5, which showcase a bolder and more aggressive design. The front end features a wider grille and redesigned headlights, while the side profile boasts a more sculpted and athletic appearance. The rear end receives new taillights and a more pronounced diffuser. The interior is expected to be updated with Audi's latest technology and features, including a large infotainment display and advanced driver-assist systems.
The new Audi A5 lineup is expected to arrive in mid-2023. We anticipate that it will be a strong contender in the European midsize sedan market, with its combination of sporty styling, powerful engine, and advanced features.
