AEW Dynamite Attendance Figures Surface, May Set Record Low
Despite AEW's financial success, attendance figures for recent episodes of Dynamite have been underwhelming.
An upcoming episode of Dynamite is set for a record-low attendance, according to a recent report.
Despite AEW owner Tony Khan affectionately calling its fans "sickos," an upcoming episode of Dynamite is set for record-low attendance.
The May 15th episode of AEW Dynamite emanated from the Winds Arena in Everett, Washington. According to WrestleTix, the event drew an attendance of just 2,500 fans. This is the lowest attendance figure for a Dynamite episode since the show debuted in October 2019.
AEW's TV ratings are doing well, and that's the more important factor in determining AEW's financial future. However, the low attendance figures are a concerning sign for the company. It's unclear if the low attendance is due to the lack of star power on the card or if it's a sign that AEW's fans are starting to lose interest in the product.
Only time will tell if AEW can turn things around and start drawing bigger crowds. But for now, the company's attendance figures are a cause for concern.
